Ingredients

  • 1 tsp bacon fat

  • 1/3 cup sweetener (use 1/2 cup if using regular cocoa powder)

  • 1/3 cup Cacao Bliss (or 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder)

  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk

  • 1/2 cup heavy cream

  • 2 tsp vanilla extract

  • 1 Tbsp unsalted butter

Directions

  • In a large saucepan or skillet, melt the bacon fat over medium-high heat.
  • Add all the ingredients except the vanilla and butter. Whisk well to combine.
  • Bring to a simmer over medium-high heat and cook for 8-10 minutes until thickened, stirring constantly to prevent burning.
  • Remove from heat. Add the vanilla and butter. Whisk well to combine.
  • Serve warm over soft biscuits, scones, or vanilla ice cream.
